Isn't this the cutest picture ever! So Caleb told the kids he would play doctor with them, they were the doctors of course. Caleb told them his feet hurt really bad and they needed to rub them to make them better.

Neighborhood water day at our house

So Logan mentioned to all his friends that we were going to get the slippin slide and the pool out. He failed to mention that we weren't doing it until after lunch. At eleven we had all these little kids sitting on our front lawn in there swim suits. So this little boy in the red suit wanted more popsicles, he said he had some at home. He took a head count and ran home to ask his mom for seven popsicles. He came running back with seven pieces of wheat bread. He said he couldn't find the popsicles, funniest thing ever!!!

It was fun they had people dressed up passing out candy. Logan wasn't sure of them at first then he realised they had candy and he started looking for them. He did get scared at a tunnel, I carried him through the first part then he said this isn't scary and he wiggled out of my arms. They thought it was fun!

It was Avas first time getting to ride all the rides. They both loved it! Logan was old enough to know how it all works but Ava figured that since she could just walk past everyone that meant she didn't have to stand in line. So pretty much the whole time we were in line she was crying. One time she even told a little boy who got in line behind us to go away that it was her ride. It was an older boy but he still ran back to his mom. That was pretty funny!

I think we stayed to late. Both kids were crying on the way home. When we finally got home Logan told us his forehead hurt then he puked three times throughtout the night. Lagoon is lots of fun but once a year is enough.

We played with grandma and grandpa on the beach for hours. It was so much fun and I got tons of cute pictures it was hard to pick ones to post. Our little pool kept getting bigger and bigger by the time we were done both kids fit in it.

Our first bear lake trip

My mom and her sisters rented this hotel for our family. It is three levels and we took up every room. It had two kitchens and a big hang out room it was awesome! This is almost everyone hanging out on the beach.

Jack and Logan found thier own little island to play on.

The girls found a spot too, you can't tell in this picture but thier area was seperated from the big lake. It was warmer water and not as deep.

Today we went to the movie we saw UP. Logan loved it and Ava watched a little over half before she fell asleep. It was in 3D so we got to wear some glasses Logan thought that was pretty cool too I was surprised he kept them on the whole time. It was also Ava first movie so we kept the ticket for her baby book. Yesterday we went miniature golfing at Swan lakes golf course they had a little plastic toy club for Ava to use she tried hitting the ball a couple of times but it never went anywhere. Logan picked an orange ball and he hit it in every whole, when we were leaving he told us he was so happy and wanted to go again. Ava was crying because she had to give her club and golf ball back. We had a great weekend I hope everybody Else did too.

This is what we did today.Me, Logan and Ava started the morning just playing around, there was lots of giggling. It was alot of fun!

Then we went to home depot they were being so good the whole time I couldn't believe it. While we were there Ava pointed at two younger guys who worked there and said "Daddy"! Logan looked at her and said "no that's not daddy". It was pretty funny the workers thought so too.

Then Caleb came home early and took us to dinner at the Spaghetti factory in Salt lake, what a nice husband! Aunt Shannon and Uncle Dan joined us we don't get to see them very much so it was fun hanging out with them. Logan and Ava took turns being stinkers at dinner and I got to sit right in the middle of them. I was pretty busy all through dinner but whenever I got to take a bite of my spinach tortellini it tasted so good!
It was a pretty fun day.

November 10th is Logan and Ava birthday!

They got a birthday weekend because we have lots of family. We had two big family parties one with my side and one with Caleb's side.

Logan also had his first friend party or as Jack called it a "boy party".

It was pirate themed we had a treasure hunt and broke a pinata (the treasure).

Sorry about the poor picture quality my camera is going out.

Then we ended the party weekend with a trip to where else but Chuck E Cheese.

They had lots of fun all weekend and they got tons of great presents. We are very lucky to have such great friends and family.
I don't have very many good pictures of it all because of my camera. I used my moms camera most of the time so she has all the good pictures.

Logan got to go fishing with his grandpa. He was so excited he still talked about it weeks after! Ava got a hair cut!
She didn't like it but the little trim she allowed us to do looked cute!
I was hoping for a little more off the front but when she saw the scissors she was done.

We forgot to carve our pumpkins I thought we weren't going to be able to do it this year.
Luckily daddy got off early on Halloween and we got them done at the last minute.

Logan loved Halloween this year!

Trunk or Treat at Autoliv

Halloween is so fun this year. It is the first year Logan picked his costume and has it all figured out. We waited in a really long line but it went pretty fast. Logan did better then I thought he would waiting, he liked looking at all the costumes. We went threw the first couple of cars and he said " Trick or Treat" to all of them after getting his candy he also told them " Thank You". Grandpa was passing out candy at the pirate ship he even dressed up for it. When we got close a pirate was trying to scare a little girl in front of us she didn't get scarred but Ava did. She started screaming so loud "thats how she likes to cry these days" but Grandma came to her rescue. Poor girl has moms skin and even though the screaming only lasted a second her spots stayed around for a little while. Logan didn't recognize Grandpa right of the bat but when he figured it out he got a big smile on his face.

I let go of his hand and told him to ask this lady by himself so I could take his picture. He was a little nervous but he did it anyway. After he said it was scary then he giggled.

He got so excited when he saw the fire truck so we had to get a picture with it.

When everything was all over he said he had so much fun. He kept giggling and saying that was scary. He also said that guy was naughty for making Ava cry. When we got home he offered daddy some candy and told him all about it.

I would like to just say before you read the story below, that I am not the best story teller and I am not a writer. I have read this story over a couple of times making a few changes before I posted it because it is so long. I can't decide if I worded some things wrong or wierd, or if I have just read it so many times that I think it sounds wierd. But I don't have anymore time to spend on it. So read at your own risk. j/k

A funny little story about Jacks birthday cake.

Jack wanted a race track cake for his birthday and this is a picture Mindi found of one she liked. This cake looks very easy to do with white frosting, sticking cookies, candies and cars on it, basic shape (no carving) pretty easy I thought. Well it started with eggs I went to start baking the cakes I thought I had about 9 eggs it turned out I only had 1. Sometimes Caleb likes to stick the shells back in the box instead of throwing them away and at a glance I thought I had some, I didn't actually open the carton to see. Logan has a friend named Stockton who comes to play with us on mon tues and wed. When he is here we can't drive anywhere because I can't turn off my airbag in the front and my two car seats in the back leave no room for a booster. So I grabbed the 2 wiggle cars for the boys to ride and the stroller for Ava, we had to walk to walmart to get eggs. We were making good time on the way there the boys had lots of energy and were racing down the side walk. By the time we got there Logan was riding on the stroller, Stockton was walking and I had hooked the two front wheels of the wiggle cars to the basket of the stroller to drag them along. As soon as we got in walmart the boys thought it would be a great idea to ride the wiggle cars threw the store. I didn't think it was as great of an idea, but to avoid the fit Logan looked like he was ready to throw if I said no I gave them the wiggle cars. They both jumped on and we headed for the eggs. We turned alot of heads but everything was going good we were moving pretty fast threw the store. We only had a couple of scares with little old laddies jumping out of the way because the boys would get distracted, no injuries. We got the eggs and headed home, of course by the time we got home I was pushing 3 kids and 2 wiggle cars. After I baked the cakes and had all the frosting ready to go I went and got the cars Mindi had given me to put on the cake. It turned out the cars were to big for the cakes I had made, Mindi bought regular sized cars and the ones in the picture were minis. I made the same size cakes as the picture. There smaller so you can stack them and the cakes would be thick enough for the oreos to fit around the outside. Well to make the race track big enough to fit the cars I wasn't going to be able to stack them. Which means I had to float the frosting around the bottom of the cake to make them appear thicker so the oreos would still fit around the outside. This left me with a hole in the middle of the cake after I pushed the four little circle cakes together. Luckily I had some Styrofoam left over from another cake, I used that to carve the bridge to hide the hole. But now I am out of frosting because I had to use that to hide the gap around the bottom of the cake. So I called my friend and "cake buddie" Amber to see if she had some extra frosting from past cakes I could use. It turned out she did, while I was waiting for her to arrive I started on the race track. I was making it out of fondant so it looked smoother plus black frosting isn't very good, to much food coloring to make it black makes it taste bitter. I don't think fondant is very good either but at least you can just peal that off. Well I had the fondant all laid out ready to cut and my tool was missing so I had to cut it with a wave edge tool. By now Amber has arrived and is frosting the bridge for me. I started laying pieces of the track on the cake so I could see how it was going to look and to see what pieces I still needed. It was all laid out it looked good but the wave edge needed to be trimmed off. Not thinking I picked all the pieces up and trimmed them with scissors. When I went to lay them back down on the cake they did not fit together the same because fondant stretches and I couldn't remember how they were exactly. So I trimmed some of the pieces a little more to make them fit on the cake while Amber started smoothing the fondant with water to make them look like they were all connected. While we put the finishing touches on the cake, m&ms, cars and the cookies, Caleb was throwing the kids in the car so we wouldn't be late. After everything that went wrong, the cake turned out really cute I think even better then the picture. Well thats the story about Jacks cake heres how it turned out. Also a big Thanks to Amber! Ava loves playing the piano with daddy she gets so excited when she sits with him. He plays while she pounds on the keys or she trys to catch his fingers. Logan loved doing the same thing when he was a baby. While daddy and Ava were playing piano Logan was downstairs play guitar hero he has been spending alot of time down there lately. When I went down to get this picture he said watch mom I make fire. He said daddy taught him how, I was so surprised he was getting some of the notes. We are so lucky to have such a musical daddy. My kids can be entertained with daddy for hours just watching him play and playing along.

Our trip to the zoo

We started with breakfast at golden corral. When we got to the zoo we went to the monkeys first they were Avas favorite she cried when we walked out of the building. We stopped to play with an elephant that squirts water out its trunk. Our kids were all afraid of it but they didn't want to move on either. We only make it to the giraffes before our kids are spent. So we skipped the reptile house, we took a ride on the new carousel then we rode the train. That was our day at the zoo. I love taking our kids to the zoo they have done so much to update it and the kids love it.

I had a cake order today so Caleb was on his own getting the kids up and ready for the day. He started by giving them both a bath he said they were extremly poopy when they woke up. He combed there hair and got them dressed they looked cute when he was all done. When my cake was done I took a closer look at the kids. Logans shorts were on backwards and Avas cloths were to small A few minor fixes. He is a good daddy! He did a good job it was also the first time he gave Ava a bath.

Probably everybody who reads my blog has already heard this story but I love to tell it, so I'm going to one more time. I was helping my cousin with her yard sale on Saturday. While I was there I helped a lady carry some books to her car. She was making small talk and asked me where we were moving to, instead of explaining to her that this was my cousins house I just answered. I told her we were moving up the hill she said " o good then you can stay in the same school district so you don't have to change schools". I said yeah that's good, then she asked me what school I went too. I love these moments, when I was younger people would always tell me that I should enjoy looking young but until I was a mom and finally started feeling old was I truly able to enjoy moments like these.

Logan loves his daddy! Anything daddy does Logan copies. Caleb usually keeps his phone in his pocket. When he was done talking on the phone he put his phone down on the couch, he was also holding Ava so Logan was a little jealous. Logan grabbed his phone and was pretending to talk on it when Caleb asked for his phone Logan tried to put it in his pocket so daddy couldn't get it. Well Logan was wearing a swim suit that had no pockets so he stuck the phone down the front of his swim suit. Then he looked up and said where's my pocket? He stood there holding the phone in the front of his swim suit making sure it wouldn't fall out the bottom so daddy couldn't get it. It was so funny!

AVA CAN WALK! (with a little help)

My sister Mindi told me about a new walker that came out for little girls. It sounded cute when she told me about it so I went and found it, it is so much cuter then I thought. Maybe its just because its my girls first stroller or because she is just so little, but I can't get over how cute she looks pushing it around. She started out good it would scoot a little so she would follow it then she started to get a little distracted and it would scoot a little and she didn't follow but she also didn't let go. I love it, so cute!

Bear Lake

I loved camping in bear lake! It was our shortest trip but my favorite. I loved taking the kids down to the beach the water was so shallow that they could just run all over. The big kids had fun digging in the sand and Ava had fun playing in the mud. We even got some time to ride a wave runner, I had forgotten how much fun that is. Next summer it will definitely be our longest trip.

We started out by going to the Tracy aviary. Logan and Caleb fed the birds this is the only picture that Logan is not crying in, he thought it was a little scary. I'm not sure what the next funny little birds were called but they were very entertaining they even got Avas attention. We also went to the bird show there but I think our kids were still just a little to small to think that was fun, to much sitting. So then we headed out to do some rides Logan picked the pink airplane and rode the farris wheel with daddy. Ava thought this was a good time to take a nap. That was our day nothing to exciting just a fun family outting.

He finaly did it! Logan has decided to use the toilet instead of a diaper. Yesterday he went pee in the toilet standing up and he thought it was the coolest thing so he kept doing it all day. He would stop playing and come running for the bathroom, we had no accidents all day. Today he went again first thing when he woke up so I put big boy underwear on him. After a little while I cought him sitting behind the couch so I reminded him not to get his underwear dirty, he said "ok I will be right back" he ran for the bathroom. I went to go see if he was going and he had the door shut but I could here him pushing so I peeked in to see how it was going. He looked up at me and said "what happened"? He had gone poop standing up the same way he goes pee. I told him good job for keeping his pants clean and good try pooping in the potty. Then I explained to him that we poop sitting down and pee standing up. But all that matters is that he is trying to do it on his own.
